Included as well are examples of research studies related to SNT/SNS in healthcare. The text uses a conceptual approach to teaching the material that reinforces the main points of each chapter, and includes chapter activities and exercises to promote point-of-care applications of SNT/SNS. Near future advances in technology and point of care use are woven throughout. The text will be of value for all nurse education and practice settings.
